Summary
FireRisk is an Android app built with Jetpack Compose. Users point the camera at a room; the app detects hazards frame by frame, computes a structured fire risk score, and produces a report. It also tracks fire equipment, keeps an assessment history with a score trend, and sends reminders.
Problem
Most people never assess fire risk at home because it needs expertise they do not have and a checklist they will not read.
Approach
A layered architecture separates Compose screens and ViewModels from domain use cases (risk scoring, reports) and data sources: Firebase Auth, Firestore, Storage and Cloud Messaging, ONNX Runtime for on-device inference, and Gemini for hazard detection with bounding boxes. GitHub Actions runs the build and tests.
